T.R.A.I.N. Meeting Minutes

The meeting was called to order by Blane.

Members present were Blane, Kit, Larry, Bill and Rich.
We had one visitor, Brian, who is interested in building a module to NMRA specs.

Treasurer's report was about the same.

There will be no regular meetings in June, July or August.

Election of officers will occur at the annual meeting at the Golden Corral
at I-469 at SR 37. No new nominations were made at the meeting, so we expect
that the current slate of officers will be retained. Any fresh nominations
should be communicated to Blane before the annual meeting.

Kit brought a fresh report on the NMRA North Central Convention. Tentatively,
we would set up Friday evening, Oct. 16 between about 5 and 10 PM.
On Saturday the 17th, layouts will run from about 10AM to 5PM.
Sunday features a brunch and teardown; there will also be layout tours.
It was agreed that, with this schedule, it is possible for us to display.

We will set up at the Three Rivers Festival at the Historical Museum as
usual, this time in the Orientation Room. Setup will be on Friday July 10,
roughly 10 AM - 5 PM. The festival runs July 11 - 19. Teardown will be on
July 20, and, tentatively, we can store some of the modules at the museum,
at least until Blane can pick them up.

Rich brought a laptop with the Web site on a memory stick. It met general
approval of the membership. It is approaching completion at
http://www.trainfortwayne.org .

Rich requested JPEG pictures be E-mailed to webmaster@trainfortwayne.org
for inclusion in the gallery and/or shows section. A short description and
approximate date should be included. In some cases, the photos are so old
that the date is uncertain; that's OK because they're even more fun that way.
Large JPEGs can easily be resized to fit the page.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:30. Visitor Brian got lots of advice from
Larry on module building.
